beagleboy
Would love to restore this gun back to its original beauty. The wood has no cracks in it but looks worn and the receiver has a few scratches and pits. Does anyone know of a company that restores? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
AJ
Re: Belgium Browning Sweet 16 Restoring an old gun like that, will reduce the colectors value significantly. If you plan to keep it forever and hand it down, you can have it refinished. Midwest Gun Works employs previous Browning gunsmiths and will restore an A-5, be advised, it ain't gonna be cheap. I would plan on $500 for metal and wood work. Keep in mind that this does not raise the value of the gun another $500.
RangerClay
Re: Belgium Browning Sweet 16 BB I hear that the Lefever Brothers here in NY will do a great job of restoring guns. But not cheap!!! Like AJ said, you will probably spend more than the gun is worth. My Dad has Sweet 16 and it is an awesome deer gun!!!
