ladydiehard
Its 10am and its breaktime at work. So I decided to make a run down to the local donut shop. Making my way back to work with donut in hand, I turn right at the light with the Perkins restaurant on the corner, motel across the street, other businesses around, etc. I'm in TOWN on a busy street in broad daylight. Granted, its the edge of town but town nonetheless. I barely get past Perkins and I'm fumbling around getting the donut out of the bag when my peripheral picks up movement from my left...an animal is about to cross the road. I thought it might be a dog. These thoughts race through my mind in a matter of seconds as I hit the brakes to prevent a collision with a HUGE DOE! Running full tilt, coming out of a small patch of woods on the left and heading into another small patch of woods behind Perkins. Thinking to myself, "she was really moving...", I look for more deer to follow. Half expected a buck to pop out but when nothing else appeared I finally moved on so I could eat my donut in peace!!!!!!!!

wtnhunt
Re: This is nuts! See deer in town here fairly often. Matter of fact, I watch a group of does behind my work just inside the city limits just about every morning.
