VtBowhunter
Re: Best hunter ever? With we who visit ghosts from the sun, star of our birth and in our infancy which is from the land of the rising star As long as the deer and moose shall run free and the grass shall grow and the rivers run swiftly the Abenaki shall survive the whiteman's wickedness Again our grandfathers spirits have given us guidance and wisdom to rise and come together to dance we have been taught to love Mother Earth and to respect her We are the children of the dawn, the people of the east May the Great Spirit and The Great Creator bless us and smile upon us There that makes it a bit easier for folks to read. huntinsonovagun
Re: Best hunter ever? I re-read some of my posts. I can see where you all took some offense, but none was intended. I made it sound as if ALL indians played the system, and that's not what I meant. I have been to school, I have seen the materials given to Natives, who in turn waste the stuff, while I am using hand-me-down welding gloves when they get new ones every year and trash them for the heck of it. You say I'm not being fair? I believe we all should be treated fairly....here the white man is getting screwed. Seems like the average, middle-age white man is always getting screwed....HMMMM....... The indians are getting their tax-free tobbaccos, and then get their hospital bills paid when they have lung cancer from smoking. They spend all their money in the casinos and use their welfare money to buy food. I am paying to live and my own, and paying for someone else to live. Doens't seem fair to me. Again, I am not saying ALL indians follow this. Just from what I have seen, this is not a good deal. Whatever happened to "all men are created equal"? You are just as much human as I, but why am I getting the raw end of the deal? What did I do to deserve this? What did YOU do to deserve this?? Think about it.... [ QUOTE ] tred barta who shoots geese with a long bow!!!not to mention out of the air!!! can anyone here do that [/ QUOTE ] you must be kidding . Howard Hill , Fred Bear and Ben Pearson were doing that long before Tred even knew what a bow was. i have a nice video of Ben Pearson shooting ducks and geese and pheasants with a bow back in the 40s.. lets face it, today it depends on the pile of cash you have if you want to be a name .any of us could shoot just as big a deer and elk and bears if we had lots of cash and time to spend.. the best hunter....my vote goes to the adverage hunter that fills his tag each year and hunts in his spare time from work .
