Anyone watch this show a long time ago????

I used to think it was silly when I was growing up....but now and then when I'm feeling nostalgic.....I really wanna see it again.

My Paw Paw used to watch it everytime it came on. And he'd always have a pan of fresh roasted peanuts to eat while we watched it. smirk.gifsmirk.gifsmirk.gif

".................where oh where are you tonight? Why did you leave me here all alone??? I searched the world over and thought I found true love. You met another and *ssssbbbbph* you were gone......." grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Lol, yeah thats reaching back. Me and my cousin use to stay the night with our grandparents. We go to stay out as late as we wanted and grandma would always buy a couple of gallons of ice-cream and rent some movies for us. We were there all weekend... :gin:

They use to watch Hee-Haw Too. For a long time it was Hokey but in truth now that im an adult (which is a matter of opinion) I miss it. It was funny stuff..

That's funny............I only watched it when I was spending the night with MY grandparents. And get this............if my Paw Paw wasn't eating peanuts he was eating vanilla ice cream. Well, he just called it "cream".

What were those guys' names?? Buck Owens and Roy.....????????

And Minnie Pearl and Grandpa Jones.

And that couple that was always in their kitchen. She had curlers in her hair and missing a couple of teeth, and he always looked like he was coming off a 3-day drunk..........

(can't remember all the words)

Pain, dispair and agony on me.........

deep dark depression

Excessive misery.....

(Buncha of guys laying around on the front porch with that bloodhound.)

Re: I miss Hee-Haw

I used to watch it back then also.

I still remember quite a few bits of it and some sayings. cool.gifshocked.gif

Junior Samples car sales was my favorite part. BR549 ....My grandparents first 3 digits of their phone number was 549 so it was great calling them.

It was good entertainment for me. cool.gif

Re: I miss Hee-Haw

I kind of miss variety shows in general.

I don't even watch network TV anymore, not much of redeeming value there at all. My poor kids will never get to see slapstick humor and stuff like that. Unfortunately, they're growing up in the reality TV era. IMHO reality TV and all the sex and violence is trash.
