Guest outdoorgirl
I was in my deer stand about a 1 1/2 hours and this doe comes flying out of the woods and into the field i hunt and right behind her was the buck ......she darts back into the woods and i had just enough time to get a good broad side shot at the buck....i waited 15 minutes then climbed down to find the deer. couldn't find it but got a good blood trail....by this time it was dark and i heard the deer cross the creek....a lot of splashing so i decided to back off for the night and look in the morning....this is making me sick......never had to trail a deer like this before. i can't wait to search tomorrow for this buck...it looked to be a 4 pt or small six....i'll let you know how things go. tedicast
Re: Feeling sick...have to wait till morning Definately makes for a long night, but you made the right decision. If he isn't pushed he will mosy likely expire in his next bed. Much better than pushing him into the next county.

Guest asilvia68
Re: Feeling sick...have to wait till morning Toughest thing to do is have to leave and wait until the next day to track your hunt. You did the right thing!!!
