30 Foot Ladder Stand or Climbing Sticks

I would like to get a 30 foot ladder stand but, I can't find any. Does anyone know where I can find one? I am thinking I may need to bye the stand I want and have 10 foot of ladder fabricated and another stabilizer bar.

I know lots of companies make 20 foot climbing sticks but, does anyone make a 30 foot? Who has combined 2 packs to get to 30 foot and is it safe?

Just dont think a 30 ft ladder stand could be built that would be safe that could be put up, not unless it was really heavy, and that would likely require the use of some sort of machinery to put it up. Have seen climbing sticks sold in sets that go 15 ft, just buy two. Think you would be best off to use sticks or a climber.

I have been considering a hang on stand with climbing sticks very seriously.

I want the API Grandstand Super Baby Grand Treestand.

It has a large platforn and safety rail but, I've never used a hang on. I do not leave my stands in the tree when I am not there so, is a stand like this easy enough to set up and take down each time?

For climbing sticks, I would get 2 packs of Summit Bucksteps. This would get me to 30 feet with no problem.

If you don't mind dropping over $200... smirk.gif

$200 would be cheap, if you started to figure what it would take to build a sturdy 30 ft ladder.

I guess I'll just stick with my Cabela's Trophy Cable Elite. It has a bigger platform than any Summit and only weighs a pound more.

This is what mine looks like but, it's aluminum and is 22 lbs compaired this stainless steels 32 lbs. 3 years ago I think I paid around $200 for it too.

I think I may bye a Summit seat to replace mine with. Their's is much nicer seat. I may get those stirrups and side bags too. Then I'll have a half a Summit.

My current stand has always been a comfortable and secure stand that isn't too heavy and easily packable. I guess I'll stick with her and just give her some upgrades.

Thanks everyone.

You could get 2 API 15' models for about $140. Two StrongBuilt 15'ers would be even cheaper, maybe around $100. wink.gif

Re: 30 Foot Ladder Stand or Climbing Sticks

I saw that they offered those and it did peak my interest a bit. I kind of like the Summit model because it has more room to place my boats, um, feet when climbing. I'm just gonna upgrade my climber a bit and use that. It'll be cheaper and more portable.

  • 14 years later...

i HAVE TWO OPTIONS

FOR THE CADDILAC BUY THE MILLUNIUM L110 -21 FOOT STAND AND AN EXTRA MIDDLE SECTION. THIS STAND HAS ENOUGH ROOM FOR A EXTREMELY LARGE PERSON AND IS PRECISION TO FIT TOGETHER EASILY 25 FEET IS MORE THAN ENOUGH HEIGHT TO BE OUT OF THE DEERS VISION IF YOU DONY SKYLINE YOURSELF

NEXT BEST AND MUCH CHEAPER IS THE SPORTSMANS GUIDE 25 FOOT DOUBLE LADDER STAND THIS PLATFORM IS GOOD FOR A SMALLER GUY BUT THE EXTENSION WILL ACCOMMODATE A 6 FOOTER.

BUT AGAIN 25 FEET IS PLENTY HIGH IF YOU DONT PUT THE STAND WITHOUT COVER AROUND IT LIKE BRANCHES OR TUCKED BACK IN A SHADED AREA

I HAVE THREE OF THEM A L110 AND TWO SPORTSMANS GUIDE 25 FOOTERS. LOVE BOTH GOOD LUCK
