First, everyone had to see my camo thong blush.gif then, Roadkill10's little weiney fell in the fire. I felt sorry for him frown.gif Shared some good stories, we laughed, we cried, we sang songs.....well, not really. Was really cool to spend time with guys like Mccurtaincountyyournameistoolong, everyoneinthiscountyisstupid, Griz, and Roadkill10. Awesome guys, and I would share my deerstand with any of them, even though they probably wouldn't see any deer out of it. laugh.gif

Man, talk about some pretty country down there...wow!! Hope to have a few pics up in a few days. I have 2-3 of some scenery and.....A BUCK!!! Everyone else has a few pics as well. I am plum wore out!! been at it since 5am.

Anyway, this buck, I got his head in the freezer ready to be mounted!!! Ol' Griz put my on him! Well, so did Mike (Roadkill10) They both picked this stand site out together. Mike wasn't feeling well this morning, so he told me to sit in his stand since they knew deer were moving through. Wasn't in more than 30 min. when there is a buck!! Good buck!! anyway, condensed version, I spined him and Griz came probably 45 min. later and helped me drag him out. 8 point, nice brow tines, good spread, HECK of a bow kill!! This one is going on the wall. Griz and Roadkill are the MEN!!!

Kevin....well, let's just say he must be from McCurtain county, because he is not all that bright.....he couldn't even shoot a stupid turkey!!! grin.gif

Here is a quick, crappy picture the guy at the check station gave me. Dale, Mike, Kevin....thanks for putting up with me and my buddy, we had a great time! Look forward to spending more time with ya'll. I had an awesome time in camp, and really, the deer was JUST a bonus. Would have a great time without the deer, but hey, I am not complaining grin.gif He is gonna taste great, and looke even better above my fireplace. grin.gifImage001.jpg

Yep! Your right Ryan. This place where we were at was really beautyiful. There was a alot of mountains, draws and valleys and I can't forget the creeks and streams that ran through the place. It was just simply breath taking....

This place where Ryan stuck this buck at. Was really thick. When I walked into this cut to scout it out. I could tell that these deer where traveling this area real good. So we got my stand up there.

A 1000 yards or so there was another cut that looked real good and Mike decided to hunt it.

I ehought it would be best to let the stand sit that evening and hit it in the morning. Well Sat. morning rolls around and me Mike hit the woods. This is what I saw that morning....

At 8:30am. I had a Doe and a fawn come with in 15 yards from. I could have taken her but I decided to let her pass. At 9:10am. There was 2 button bucks and a real young 6 point buck come with in 3 yards of my stand. After the morning hunt I knew I was in a prime area. The deer were all moving to a thicket and at frist I was going to move my stand abd try to get closer but I thought. Nahhhhhhh!

Well Mike didn't see anything where he was at. So I told him to move up by me. We set the stand up about 150 yards from. Mike hunted it that evening and said that he saw 7 come through.

Sunday morningcomes around and Mike wasn't filling good. So I took Ryan with me. We weren't in the stands 30 minutes when I heard Ryan shoot. I glassed back his way and saw his bow being lowered down. I started to get down right then but I had movement behide me so I thought I would stick it out for a bit. I never saw anything so I gathered up my stuff and headed to where Ryan was at, only to find out that he shot a nice 8 point buck. After high fiveing and checking him out and all. The fun came to a stop when we had to drag the buck out of the woods....

I was really glad to be part of Ryans hunt and to share the excitment with him. That made the whole trip worth wild to me. I eook some pics of the buck and landscape and as soon as I get them downloaded I will get them posted.....

We are all talking about doing it again next year.

I do have to say that I to had a great time sitting aroung a smoky campfire, freezing my but off and telling stories....

Had a great time.

For those of you that didn't come. All I can say is sorry. You sure missed out on a great time and I hope to see yall there next year.....

Oh and Ryan! Man it was my pleasure in setting you up on that deer. I would do it any time....

I was just really glad you got one... wink.gif

Yeah, guys it was a blast! If I had to do it all over again, I would bring a friend. Dale hunted with Mike, Ryan ran with Scott and I was the odd man out. Still had fun around the campfire, though.

BTW...Griz...if ya remember, I showed you and Mike a aerial photo of that road ya'll were on and mentioned that I was going to scout it...never got around to it Friday...but I'm glad that you and Mike did... grin.gif

Also, about Mike's weiner---He dropped it in the fire!!! What do you expect?? He had it propped up with a rock!! grin.gif
