Ever see this happen?

Normally I would not post pictures of a doe I killed but I thought you may enjoy these pictures. Here is my story.

This past Sunday morning was my last day of rifle hunting. I decided that I was going to fill my doe permit and put some meat in the freezer. About 7am this nice doe stepped out onto the trail. She quartered towards me at 85 yards and I pulled the trigger of my faithful 30-30. She stumbled then ran into the woods. I could hear her crashing through the woods on a death run. Seeing her stumble and then hearing a death charge I figured it was a done deal. Wrong! I walked up to the place where she stood and there was no hair or blood. There were a ton of fresh tracks so there was no way to separate her tracks from the others. With no blood trail I began to make the small circles in the woods, I would not accept that I missed that doe. After an hour of searching I went back to the spot where she stood and started fresh. I tried to figure all the different angles she could have ran and DING there she was. Boy was I relieved to find her but I quickly shifted back into kill mode when I thought she was looking back at me. Look at how this doe wedged herself between the trees on her death charge. If you look at the first picture, this is the angle I approached her, you will swear that the doe is looking back at me. For a couple short moments I thought she was still alive and stuck. But she was very dead. Stuck, but dead. I wish you guys could have seen me yanking on the hind legs to pull her out. I have killed a lot of deer but never had a deer wedge itself like this one did. Enjoy the pics! Sorry I don't have any software to spin the one picture here at school.
