ladydiehard
I've seen them move mostly at mid day during a snow storm. About 11am-2pm proved to be the best times. I don't want a snow "storm" per se but some nice tracking snow would be wonderful!

RangerClay
Re: Winter storms GET YOUR KEYSTER OUT THERE! Now is the best time to sneak up on a deer. I love hunting in the snow!!!!!!! Ranger
Tominator
Re: Winter storms Hmmmm, good question. We hardly ever get big snow storms here. I can only remember hunting in snow a few times, and it wasn't what I would call a storm. I have seen deer while hunting on those few times. I imagine it's like rain. They'll move when it's raining, but hunker down when it's pouring.
JimT
Re: Winter storms If it is a major storm they will usually ride it out bedded, at least that my observations.
Swamphunter
Re: Winter storms You should have headed out before the storm if at all possible. That is when they move a lot. During a snowstorm, try still hunting. Usually they will ride out a storm under some pine trees or something. At least that has been my observations from hunting northern NY for the last 20 some years.

double_drop
Re: Winter storms It has been snowing real good here since noon and I went out tonight for a bit after work and saw a couple basket rack 8 pointers and 5 does moving through but no big ones tonight so I would say they move good during snow. Shaun_300
Re: Winter storms I love hunting in the snow! We got 3 or 4 inches today, but temps are going up to 60 tomorrow, so it won't be here for long.
wtnhunt
Re: Winter storms Never get any good snows here during the deer season. Like others have said, would seem that they would bed down when it was really coming down heavy.
