Climber?

I am wanting to ask for "the best climber" available: For Christmas this year: I want something that is easy to set up, easy to carry in and safe for my fat butt to sit in! I am not a fan of being "Real High"...I don't normally hunt over 15 ft: I want something that I can carry in like a back pack, hook up to a tree and sit all day! I have an original "Tree Lounge" that I just think is too bulkey and too heavy: I am looking for your suggestions: And I hope to decide soon, on which one to pick out: HELP!!!

Re: Climber?

Man, that new one Summit sent ohiobucks after his old summit bent on him looks sweet.

I actually got to watch a demonstration last week when I put a little drive on for him. Watched him come down, harness and all, pack it up, strap it to his back, then took one step towards his truck and realized he left is E Z hanger up in the tree (I noticed he left it up there as he was coming down, but I wanted to see how his new harness was attached to the tree, and how you climb with it). So then I got to watch as he unpacked the new Summit, attached it to the tree, attach his harness, climb all the way back up, get his hanger, and climb all the way back down.

After 15 minutes of watching him do all this, I'm satisified that Summit makes a great stand.

Summit is what I would recommend.

I think Tom could tell you the model, I can't remember what it is.

Re: Climber?

Well, you've already got the most comfortable and safest stand there is. For all day hunts, I wouldn't trade my Treelounge for anything. I agree that it's a little bulky, but not any more than other stands out there and the weight is comparable with the new model coming in at around 18 lbs. I have summit stands too, just purchased the Bushmaster X5 and will hunt with it this weekend. If I wasn't going to get the new Treelounge model, I would get a Summit. I thought about getting the bulletpacker or the new 180 but have enough stands.
