My '05 Illinois bow buck

Made the 2-hr trek home from school for the 3rd weekend in a row on Friday to do some bowhunting. Saturday morning was good as I saw 3 bucks and 3 does. I passed a nice 10pt at 30 yds. My brother who was hunting about 1/4 mile away saw 8 bucks and a few does. Four of the bucks were chasing the same doe. Also the buck I passed on, went by my brother at 10 yds about 20 minutes later, but he passed on him too because he had a bigger one at 50 yds. We came back to the house in late morning and talked about what we'd seen. Went back out in the afternoon, but the high winds kept movement down and few deer were seen.

Sunday morning, it was still a little windy, but I headed out to the stand my brother had been at the day before. Had a small 6pt come by at 50 yds. About 7:15 I made a few calls on my Primos Can. I see this deer come my way from a direction I didn't expect. I see that it's the one I passed on the day before at 30 yds. He's coming by at 10 yds and I draw back my PSE Nova when he goes behind a tree. I mouth grunt as he steps out, and then my Easton arrow and Spitfire broadhead were on their way. Beautiful shot and he ran about 75 yds and I basically saw him go down. After about 5 minutes, a bigger 8pt comes in to 50 yds. I couldn't believe it. He stayed around for a few minutes, but then left.

My brother showed up about 30 minutes later and we went to find the buck. Went found him piled up and took a few pics. He green scored right at 140". Not my biggest deer, but still a very respectable buck.
