Covehnter
Drylok much better due to more uniform pellets and with steel. . . the faster the better.
RTF
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION I use the Drylok in my 2 3/4 remington and have had great results.
huntn4bucks
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION I've shot several different types of loads through my shotgun over the years and the Winchester Dryloks seem to cycle better than any other I've shot. I'm a drylok fan for sure!
StillLearnin
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION I just bought a case of xpert 3" #2 yesterday. The winchesters seem to pattern through my gun the best of any although I have yet to try the drylocks. Plus the 2's i just bought are 1550 fps and that is what I was looking for...SPEED! longhorn57
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION I have always shot xpert 3" #2 and have had great luck with them so i see no reason to change and they cycle great threw my 11-
Covehnter
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION Cut one of the Xperts open and check out the inconsistent pellets, that's why i've got'em for swattin' cripples only now. Fixin' to try Kents 1625fps loads. . . see what thats all about.

[/ QUOTE ] this isnt nesiscailly a bad thing, some shells are made like this...have you ever seen what HEAVI-SHOT pellets look like? when i saw them i thought they wouldnt even fly in a straight line..but then i shot ducks and geese at 60 yards and they were stone dead. Covehnter
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION Heavy shot pellets and steel are at completely different ends of the field. I've shot the Xperts at a patterning board and this is what ultimately turned me against them, tons of stray and flyer pellets.
double_drop
Re: STEEL SHOT QUESTION I have used both. I personally would shoot fasteel of even wolf steel over winchester.
