Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
who here shoots there muzzleloader with open sights? i bought a cheap tasco to put on my encore last year, just to use for that weeks hunt (didn't have the money to buy a better one so i figured it would be ok just for a temporary use) ...but i found it wouldn't hold zero so i decided to take it off and instead of buying a new/better scopre...i think i am just going to use the open sights on it. i figure i could use them ooout to around 100 yards since most of my shots are 100 yards or shorter in the areas i hunt...and if i decide to hunt a field where the shots would be longer i could just use my rifle... BuckNrut
Re: open sights I use open sights. My ML is only accurate out to 70 yds. Got 2 deer with it last year.

Guest antlers21
Re: open sights here in minnesota you can not use scopes on ml's. You can if it is non magnifying and have a doctor sign a form from the state.
