open sights

Recommended Posts

who here shoots there muzzleloader with open sights? i bought a cheap tasco to put on my encore last year, just to use for that weeks hunt (didn't have the money to buy a better one so i figured it would be ok just for a temporary use) ...but i found it wouldn't hold zero so i decided to take it off and instead of buying a new/better scopre...i think i am just going to use the open sights on it. i figure i could use them ooout to around 100 yards since most of my shots are 100 yards or shorter in the areas i hunt...and if i decide to hunt a field where the shots would be longer i could just use my rifle...
