anybody hear of the new world record shot in Indiana this year. it is a typ. 6x6 in the 220in. they are keeping hush hush about this deer. holding out for $$$$$$$ on a story. a buck of that size might just keep a person from ever working a 40hr a week job again.

cant wait to hear the story and see the pic.

i guess this deer was shot in Morgon county Indiana. not for sure.

Re: new world record deer????

It got kind of ugly on the site that it was first reported. Most of today, that site has been down. Don't know if that is why, but I'd bet it has something to do with it.

I've got a gut feeling that this is legit. The person who leaked the teaser is a very reliable source. World record, maybe. I can't wait to see pictures. If it is legit, it will be a while before we see pictures and get the whole story.

For the record, that is the ONLY big deer in Indiana. We have NO big deer. Please stay at home and hunt.

LOL the world record buck brought a wopping 100k from BPS they sold it because of the insurance cost and ect they have sole rights to it but 100k isnt really that much ...... it secured the kids college future and a little extra.... but the proof is in the pics .... could happen but lets see some pics

Re: new world record deer????

I just seen a pic of this deer on one of the Indiana hunting sites. It's a great deer. The main beams curl down at the end and almost look like drop tines. It was killed on unmanaged farmland and 5 other people hunted the place and none of them had ever seen the deer or evidence that he was in there.

Here is the website where you can see a picture of "the new state record" buck.

Scroll down a bit on the first page and you will see it. A monster for sure.

Re: new world record deer????

just to say i heard it from people i work with. i dont know for sure. thats why i asked all of you. wanted some answers. not to stir up a hornets nest. if this is true i would like to see pics of it and give credit where credit is needed. all i was told was it was staying quiet waiting for a high paying story. sorry next time i wont ask.

Re: new world record deer????

yeah, there's a new world record rumor every single year, I don't believe this one for a second.

That's the thing that angered me about the Albia buck, that the family hid it from the world for money, and that seemed to be the only thing they cared about was how much they could make off it. Very disrespectful to the animal in my opinion. Rest assured, if I ever shoot a world record deer pics will be on the internet, with watermarks and a link to my site on them to keep the story straight within 3 hrs of the kill. And I wouldn't sell my story and photos either, I'd give it free to whoever wanted to print it.

Anyone who kills a deer like that for the money IMHO, doesn't belong in the woods.
