superguide
Kind of strange I've seen two smaller bucks-100 or so class-shot this week and both have no browtines-kinda strange cause there's 180-200 class deer in the same area with huge brows. Guess these guys are better off dead-I've seen probably seen 50 or 60 bucks shot in this 3 or 4 square miles in the last few years and these are the first like that. buckee
Re: No Browtines!!! They sound like offspring from the deer down on the farm I hunt We always get excited when we even find one browtine.
Tominator
Re: No Browtines!!! Genetics are a funny thing, eh? I have a buddy and between the two of us, we have taken about 5 bucks that all show the same general antler development. All of the deer have stunted points on the right side, and it's always the last point. My big 10 is almost a 9. My buddy shot a 9, 7, and 2 5ptrs that all look the same. wtnhunt
Re: No Browtines!!! Used to see good brows on most of the deer we would see around here, but that seems to be changing. Seeing more and more deer missing one side or the other.
