huntrman
Well I thought I would just post a little review about a coat I purchased recently. I bought the Arctic Shield H3 Parka. Now while it doesn't get too terribly cold here in Indiana, it still gets pretty chilly. I went out hunting a few days ago and had my bibs(not Arctic Shield, yet!) and the Arctic Shield H3 Parka on. I decided to sit on the ground. Got all nice and situated and after awhile I noticed that my legs were getting kinda cold, but my upper body was toasty warm. I only wore a light pair of gloves on my hands as well and just kept my hands in the pockets. All I had under the parka was a fleece base layer and a sweatshirt. Let me tell you what. I was unbelievably warm. I had to put the hood up because of the 10+mph winds making things even colder, but I was toasty warm. I sat from 3:30 till dark with no problems. Got out of the woods and looked at the temperature gauge in my car and it read a cool 23 degrees. That is probably the coldest weather I have hunted in before and I could have stayed the whole day in that weather. Just thought I would pass along some information if anyone was looking for a good cold weather coat/parka. While it is a little expensive($129.95) it is worth every penny to me. Here's a link in case anyone's interested. Good hunting! http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.T...t=SearchResults
