Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: looking for a affordable elk hunt in southeast Christmas is really short notice for setting up an elk hunt, and like Steve said, there's no free ranging native populations in the southeast. Tennessee has a population that's been reintroduced, but drawing a tag for that area is extremely difficult. You might find a game farm somewhere with elk behind a high fenced enclosure, but you better be ready to shell out some major bucks. You're most likely looking at $3000 - $5000 for a decent sized bull and a whole lot more for a really big one. And unless the enclosure is big, say several thousand acres or more, it will be difficult to get any semblence of sport from the experience. Guest DesertTrophyHunts
Re: looking for a affordable elk hunt in southeast I believe that there are some late hunts in NM this year, call NM Game and Fish and ask. I think that they have bull tags that are OTC but the bull has got to have 6 pts on one side and I am almost positive that they have some left over cow tags DTH
