too_pointer
Re: SAbot Suggestions? I shoot 295 grn. powerbelts out of my Encore with great results. Give them a try if you want. I know they aren't a sabot but they are really accurate for me. too_

ScottyLuck
Re: SAbot Suggestions? [ QUOTE ] Precision Rifle's QT40 or Dead Centers. Gotta love them. [/ QUOTE ] I'll second that. I'm using the 240gr Dead Center with 2 50gr t7 pellets out of my encore. They good for 1" groups at 100yds all day long.
silentgate
Re: SAbot Suggestions? Hey AJ, The QT40....is it the same as the X-Tended Range Sabots in Cabela's? If so, what wt. bullet do you use in .50 cal.? What about the Dead Center? Do they load any easier than the Shockwave? Thanks!
AJ
Re: SAbot Suggestions? [ QUOTE ] Hey AJ, The QT40....is it the same as the X-Tended Range Sabots in Cabela's? [/ QUOTE ] Yes it is. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ [ QUOTE ] If so, what wt. bullet do you use in .50 cal.? [/ QUOTE ] I shoot the 235 gr in my Rem 700 ML and my Encore 209x50 handgun. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ [ QUOTE ] What about the Dead Center? [/ QUOTE ] Superb bullets also. I shoot the 220 gr in my Knight Disc Elite. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ [ QUOTE ] Do they load any easier than the Shockwave? [/ QUOTE ] The difference in how a sabot loads has nothing to do with the bullet. Its the sabot and the bore diameter. The tighter the fit, the harder it is to load, but the better the performance is. Since the ML world has no real standards like the cartridge guns do, there are a lot of variances from not only manufacturer to manufacturer, but also gun to gun. To directly answer your question, yes the Dead Center and QT40 bulet/sabots are easier to load than the XTP/SST bullet with the Hornady or MMP sabot. wtnhunt
Re: SAbot Suggestions? Shoot the 240 grain tc xtp mags from my black diamond with 120 grains of loose pyrodex, been pretty happy with the performance of that load.
