My brother and I. Both gross 160+. Well mine would have if he hadn't been snapped off his left G2 & G5.

These are from southwest Sask, not well known for big whitetails, so these are better than average for the area. Now, from central and northern Sask, well that's a different story. 2005bk.jpg2005wk.jpg

Not absolutley sure, but both probably dressed in around 190-200#, which is better than average for this area. Saw a lot of very healthy whitetail bucks this year. Man were they rutting hard! What a blast watching them. Got to see a 120-ish 4x4 breed a doe for at least 20 minutes. He mounted her at least 15 times. What a little stud!

From Regina. Don't hunt anywhere around here though. The valley is close, but never have spent much time there. Most of my hunting is out west. Bowhunt mulies more than anything.

Hey Ward how's it going? Congrats on a couple of nice SW sask bucks. I haven't even went out for whitetails this fall since I haven't seen a decent one all year. Those two would be better than anything I have seen down here. How did you do with the Muleys this fall?

Re: couple soutwest Sask bucks

Hey Cam,

I saw a pic of your muley from this year. Awesome buck! This was a bad year for me muley wise, work came in at an unbelievalbe pace, and at the wrong time. I guess that's the price sometimes when you work for yourself. Can't say no to the work, so something's got to give. This year it was my bowhunting. Managed to get out for a few days on opener, but was more of a guide than anything, which is fine. Had a blast. Tried like **** to get my dad another good buck, but his shooting got in the way! 65 and still humping those river breaks, so I don't **** at him too much.

We had a great whitetail hunt as you can see. I know there's bigger bucks in other parts of the province, but we like the sandhills too much to leave. Believe it or not, we saw two other bucks this big at least, and a 4x4 that would have gone in the 150's easy.

Hope you find a good one!

Ward
