Smitteken
I love cranberry sauce and this is the only time of year I get it. I'm talking about the stuff in the can. But every year it never fails one of the older ladies in my family tries concocting their own rendition of it. It always sucks. They say the pilgrims didn't have it in a can. I think I know you're old but your not a pilgrim. Then I say they didn't have genetically altered turkeys either but what do you think we're eaten. For the love of god stick with the cranberry stuff in the can. Its tradition.

Steven
Re: Cranberry sauce Cranberry sauce is the one thing I've found that my dog won't eat (and that includes things he's whipped up inside his own body). But, I don't blame him, I won't eat it either.
Guest Andrea
Re: Cranberry sauce I can't eat it by itself. It has to be mixed in with my dressing. This year I'm making "STUFFED " cranberry sauce. You take the sauce ( from the can) and slice it. Then you mix a little mayo with cream cheese and crushed pecans and spread it on the slices and put them together like sandwiches. I tried it last year and it was pretty good. Got the idea off Paula's Home Cooking ( Food Network)

One time MY aunt messed around and totally screwed up the dressing. She put in some kind of spice that no one had ever heard of before and it was DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you know that Thanksgiving isn't really Thanksgiving without the dressing.
