Tsmola Posted November 24, 2005 Report Share Posted November 24, 2005 Dropped this nice doe tonight, my first doe. Second deer with a muzzleloader. Actually have the hunt on tape, once I get the power cord for my brother's digital I'll be able to upload it online. Saw a lot of deer tonight, could finally take it no more and decided to drop the hammer on her. Not a monster doe, but fairly good size, as you can see my new Omega did the job quite nicely! Now I'll be out exclusively for a big buck that I've got meat in the freezer. Footage is pretty good, the kill shot isn't exactly "monster bucks video" quality, but you can see her fall, I can't wait to get that online, this was a hunt of firsts for me. I honestly lucked out on this hunt, I was aiming behind the shoulder, I don't know how it hit her where it did, I don't think my gun got bounced around and I had it zeroed in at 60 yards, she was about halfway that distance when I shot. I've actually saw a few does in the first few days of gun and during bow that were much, much larger than this one, but I was waiting for a buck then. I wanted to fold her legs under her, but she had gotten a little stiff in the past 2 days and I wasn't able to do it.
