EKYhunter
I know I've read where some have had problems with them. I wondering if they've improved them or maybe done someting with quality control? Anyone know if people are still having trouble with them? robk
Re: Has TC improved their factory barrels? i haven't had any problems with mine and everyone i have had worked some are like other barrels they want a certain ammo and they will shoot circles around other brands and weight. but my 308 barrel has shot anythign from factory to military and reloads and has not had a problem shooting any of the bullets and they group like a winner. hard to find a round that a 308 won't shoot from a 150 to a 200 grain bullet rob k
AJ
Re: Has TC improved their factory barrels? I can't say for sure. I do know that I have played with more than a few of their handgun Encore barrels and I won't buy another. For the few $ more that Fox Ridge Outfitters charges, its well worth it. My ML barrel is a good one but it was a rifle barrel that I cut down. Plus there is not a lot of machining that can be screwed up on a ML barrel. I have also seen good shooting rifle barrels. tped
Re: Has TC improved their factory barrels? My friend has a 308 stainless and he can't get it to shoot for nothing. We have tried at least 6 different factory ammo's and a couple handloads and the best groups we get are around 3". I personally love the T/C Encores and think he just got a bad barrel. Like all things now-a-days when items are mass produced you might get alemon in the bunch.
too_pointer
Re: Has TC improved their factory barrels? This doesn't sound real good. I want to buy a TC standard barrel for my Encore. I prefer to pay a decent price, It sounds like you are happy or not with what you get too_
