bwlacy
Is there any way to find the MV for my muzzleloader without a chronograph? Even an approximate number. I shoot a NEF Huntsman with 100 grains of pyrodex pellets and a 300 grain SST. Just curious about the MV. Was considering going to a lighter bullet. David_218
Re: muzzle velocity? I would say you're getting a muzzle velocity of 1,750 FPS with a 300 grainer.
AJ
Re: muzzle velocity? Each gun is different. If you have two guns same model, make, load, etc. you can have different readings. Anyhoo, Hodgdon lists 1641 fps for a 300 gr sabot with 100 gr of pellets.
