You won't know until you try it. As to how it groups them, who knows? Every gun is different in what it likes. That is light for that size of a case. I like 180-200 gr bullets in the magnums. I use 165 gr in the 30-06 and 150 gr in the 308 Win.

I used to use the 180's out of my .300 Win Mag for deer. They never did too much damage to the meat. I'm not too sure about the 150's, but I thought that they would do a bit more damage than the 180's. I've switched to the .300 WSM now, and I use the 180's out of that as well. Once I get my scope on it, and I'm field hunting, I may try the 150gr out of it.

If you want to eat what you're shooting, then load some premium, controlled-expansion 150's like a Partition, Grand Slam or X bullet. Your standard 150's (and especially Ballistic Tips) upset too violently on a deer at most all hunting distances. They'll take a lot of venison out with them. wink.gif
