tped
I purchased and Omega thumbhole last year and worked up a load of 120 grains triple 7 loose powder and 250 grain Barnes Expander sabot. The gun was shooting unde 1" cloverleafs at 100 yards all the time. I did not shoot it over the summer and have tried shooting it the last 2 weekends -- first shot out of the gun is right on the money as sighted - I clean between shots and the following shots will all shoot to the same elevation but wander right to left over a 4" span. 2nd shot 2" left of first - 3 rd 2" right and back and forth. Any ideas what is going on. All scope screws are tight.
AJ
Re: Omega shots walking Sounds like wind moving the bullet, or the shooter's form. Verticle dispersion is load, horizontal is usually wind or shooter.
Guest deldeer
Re: Omega shots walking sounds like you might be pulling a little....set it up on the bags, then put one on each side, or use a gun vise.....good luck

tped
Re: Omega shots walking I have shot alot over the years. Wind not an issue yesterday as ti wass almost dead calm. I think winds were at 3mph so I discount that. I shot 2 rifles yesterday after my Omega form the same bags and bench and those guns shot as they alwyas do -- nice little 1" groups so I tend to discount operator error. I was figuring that I might have been pulling some but wouldn't that have the same result on every shot, rather than wandering back and forth. If I jerked the trigger for instance - wouldn't it have the same effect - shot to shot such as all to teh right or all to the left.
