Tony Posted November 27, 2005 Report Share Posted November 27, 2005 seeing how Iowa and Kansas get all the attention on huge bucks i thought it was only fair for me to display some of Ohios huge bucks . i had a buddy bring these over thanksgiving evening. i was impressed to say the least.. the first buck is a pair of sheads that with a 20 inch spread it would score 230 and change.. [image][/image] the second buck i sorry to say is a roadkill. but it has 30 inch main beams and a 28 inch spread.. if the G2 on the one side wasnt broken it would be the largest 8 point ever. it gross scores at 201 . with deductions and scoring it as a main frame 8 its right at 183 and change . [image][/image] i guess im just lucky i got to hold 430 inches of horns in a few mins. it made me really want to get back to Iowa and get hunting.. these are 2 bucks of a lifetime for sure.. i wonder why Ohio doesnt get the same amount of exposure for huge bucks like Iowa and kansas do. maybe them Ohio Boys can just keep a secret better.. Ohio just a great place to hunt. i really miss the big woods of southern Ohio.. thousands and thousands of acres of public hunting areas . no drawing for tags, just 125 bucks for a non resident tag and your good to go. i would put a good word in for Okie land. but Griz said he would whack me a good one if i let the word on on there bucks they have down there..
