redryder
Picked up a couple boxes of them at the new Clarksville IN Basspro shop. According to the box they are good for both loose powder and pellets. I have seen post on other forums saying they don't work well with pellets. I was wondering If anybody has tried them and what you think about them.

tallone
Re: Remington Kleanbore Muzzleloading Primers I tried them this weekend sighting in my new traditions. I tried the federal's last week but I couldn't get my gun to close right (crack barrel) I shot the federals four times cleaned right up but ran out of time. I bought the kleanbore because they fit my gun better and it closed much easier but after two shots I had a bad crud ring develop. This makes a total of 6 times I have shot my gun, I tried the federals again and I guess the gun needed to be shot to loosen up anyway the federals fit better and no more crud ring. I was using 100 grains of loose triple seven
EKYhunter
Re: Remington Kleanbore Muzzleloading Primers I've been shooting the clean bores in my .50 cal Encore with 777 pellets. I have had no problems. I have not had the "Crud Ring" that others on here talk about. My clean up was very easy. I swab with a spit patch and then reverse the patch and have had no difficulties loading 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shots and so on when sighting in. Overall I've been very pleased with them, 777, and 250 grain shockwaves. Hope this helps!

beagleboy
Re: Remington Kleanbore Muzzleloading Primers I used them when I sighted in and the gun took about 7 shots before it was time for a swab.
Guest sharpspur
Re: Remington Kleanbore Muzzleloading Primers Shot my first kleanbore tonight. When I swab the barrel it seemed to have less crud. Did not pull the plug as I plan on hunting in the morning. What I did notice is the primer itself was really fouled. With the winchesters I was using the used primer was clean after firing.
