My new 935...

I absolutely love this gun. First time to shoot it and it shoots like a champ. I didn't even pattern it--just stuck in some 3" #4's and shot. The gun cycles very smooth with a very light recoil--I was surprised how light the recoil was with this gun.

Funny story though--I've duck hunted all my life with a pump--the last 5years with MB500. So first shot with the 935 I drop a greenhead and bring the gun around for another shot---for some reason I couldn't "pump" the second shell in--it took me long enough to remember I was shooting an auto-loader that the other ducks were out of range grin.gifgrin.gif

Even the second time I shot it I tried to pump the gun again--finally on the 3rd time I quit trying to pump.

I ended up shooting about 10 shells out of the gun and it performed perfect.

Re: My new 935...

Cool! Good to hear you like it. I grew up shooting pumps. I had a pump 22 lr, pump 12 ga, pump 30-06, and the first time I shot a Rem 1100, I was trying to rip the forend off to shoot the second shot. I know what you mean. It wears off quickly though.

BTW, if you would have had Hevi Shot the ducks would still been in range. LOL!

Re: My new 935...

Cool.

I can relate to the pump story too. I cut my teeth on an Ithaca model 37. I used that gun for years, then I borrowed my dad's O/U one day. Rooster went up, I shot, missed and went to jack another round, then realized all I had to do was pull the trigger. Luckily got the bird on the second shot. wink.gif

Now what you'll find is the other way around. Shoot the auto for awhile, and go back to a pump gun. I use my Benelli Montefeltro for most hunting, but I use my Remington 870 for turkey, waterfowl and deer. Sometimes I'll shoot and forget to eject the shell before pulling the trigger again, lol.
