New Turkey Hunter in Need of Advice...

Hello everyone!

I've only turkey hunted one season with no kills, but had a blast trying. Well, here's my question: Currently our hunt club is being turned into a subdivision and I've been told that we'll still have part next year to hunt. Well, the developing hasn't hurt the deer movement at all and I was wondering if I can expect similar results with the Turkeys in the spring, or should I start looking for other places? I've been trying to learn as much as I can about their behavior, but just don't have a lot of turkey hunters that can help me out.

Depends on the ammount of activity going on. A lot of activity will often push birds to areas with fewer disruptions. I'm guessing birds will still be around but occupy less of the property you hunt. It's always good to have options so I'd recommend looking for additional spots.

Good Luck!

Tough one.

It dose depend on the activity. Some guys say look for a new spot, but I have seen some developed areas become a wildlife haven.

I would probably look for some back up spots, but still keep your eye on your hunt club.

Hope this helps.

God Bless

Thanks for the replies! My most likely back up will be public land quota hunt for this year, but I'm not complaining.... any opportunity to hunt is a good one!
