Wisconsin late season - 2nd rut ?

For all you Wisconsin late season Bow hunters. I'm just trying to get some other opions. When does the 2nd rut pic up? I figure it should be around the 2nd week of dec. right in the middle of the 2nd T-zone hunt. I only have one more chance on getting out, and was wondering what most of you guys would think about the Dec. 3rd? It's only 1 week after the gun hunt, would the bucks be back into a normal, somewhat daylight routine? I'm hunting public, but it is hard to get into (swamp) I'm not sure as to how hard it was hunted during the gun season, but I do know of at least 2 nice bucks in it. this would be in Waushara county. Thanks for any thoughts.

Re: Wisconsin late season - 2nd rut ?

I live around Wauau and based on rut activity here, I figured Dec 3rd - 10th would be good for 2nd season rut activity. Plus its the new moon this coming weekend so late afternoon hunting should be good.

I've always found a week after rifle season closes is really good. The deer have a week to settle down without being shot at and movement increases substantially. Last year I shot a big 9pt a week after rifle season closed.
