silentgate
What combo of shell and choke worked best for you guys this season in your Mossberg 835??
EKYhunter
Re: 835 shells and chokes You'll likely get many different answers. I shoot a Benelli myself with the Rhino/Nitro combo. BTW this combo would also perform awesome in your 835 as it does in any gun! There's a ton of great info on Turkey guns and loads on the forum at NTWF.org. Check it out! Adjam5
Re: 835 shells and chokes I have had good success with the Undertaker choke tube by HS Strut. I believe it is a .690 constriction with no porting and knurled edge so it can be installed without a choke wrench or key. I have one of the original 835's, yeah the ones with the bad factory camo job, round fore end, and noisy slide bars. But it works and shoots well. I shoot winchester 3" supreme turkey loads. 3 1/2" for me is TOO much. I like getting them in close. But give the Undertaker a look. good luck and hunt safe! Born2Hunt
Re: 835 shells and chokes In a article in the NWTF Turkey Call magazine the author had the best success with a Kicks ported tube at.680 and federal shells in a 935 or a 835 I can't recall. His results were 100+ pellets in a 10 inch circle at 40 yds.

Fullfan
Re: 835 shells and chokes Just get it over with, Nitro/Rhino. 300 hits in a 10" circle at 43 yds. I wish I would have bought this combo 10 years ago.

Nut
Re: 835 shells and chokes I must be getting old. I know I use the Ulti-Full Factory choke for my 835 but I can not remember what shells I have. I know one is a Wichester 3 1/2 with #6 shot and the other is 3 inchers in #5's but which brand they are off hand . Guess I will look come March and redo some patterning just to be doing it. I for one once I find something that works will not change for the sake of change.
LifeNRA
Re: 835 shells and chokes Here is my pattern from spring this year with a new Comp-N-Choke XXX Full and Winchester Supreme 3.5" #6's, from my 835. This was at 40 yards. 49 hits head and neck, DEAD TURKEY!!! I also tried the Primos Jellyhead, but Comp-N-Choke won!
