RangerClay
I am curious how much you depend on venison for feeding your family. This survey does not count poultry, pork, etc. How much do you depend upon venison for your yearly supply of red meat. In my freezer at home I have, 98% Venison 2% Beef Thank you for responding Ranger

Guest GreggB
Re: Survey Question We dont buy meat. If I dont kill it or catch it, we dont eat it. Personally, I think the meat in the stores in pure garbage.

Reloader
Re: Survey Question Unfortunately I have not had the time to hunt in the past few years and have been dependant on beef.(hope to change that this year...) However, my father in law shoots between 4 and 5 deer a year and is almost totaly dependent on venison.
Tominator
Re: Survey Question Probably 2% venny, 98% beef. To be perfectly honest, I prefer beef to venison. I know, sacrilege.
bfletch7441
Re: Survey Question More beef and pork than venison in mine. We butchered a calf and a couple hogs a while back, and with only one deer killed so far this year, we might be going after another calf. 75% beef 25% venison Ben
MUDRUNNER
Re: Survey Question As far as red meat,we pretty much always use veni.We will by some steaks from time to time.We haven't bought a pound of hamburger in about 5 years. With hot sticks, sausage, roasts, and burger we eat two deer a year with no problem. QDMAworks4me
Re: Survey Question I use about 95% venison. I have it made into sausage, burger and steaks to give a little variety. I usually shoot two to three deer a year.
ladydiehard
Re: Survey Question About 75% venison for my immediate family. Burger, chops, canned meat, roasts, sausage, jerky. Other family members use 100% venison until its gone. They usually run out before the next season even though they harvest and keep an average of 6-8 deer. They share alot of their meat with other family members that don't hunt.

need2hunt
Re: Survey Question I can't remember the last time we bought beef. Pretty much 100% venison in my freezer.
Guest generallee
Re: Survey Question my family does not depend on the venison that i provide. However at the moment, that is the bulk of what is taking up our freezer. We also have cattle that we have butchered with accounts for a good deal of our meat.......i would say right now our freezzer is 70% venison. Washi
Re: Survey Question For red meat I'd say it is at the least 95% venison. We get some beef every once in a while but not often.
spcfoor
Re: Survey Question As of this year it is 100% venison. I hopefully won't have to buy any beef unless we run out. I can still get three deer with the tags I have left.
Guest fourtrax_300
Re: Survey Question it depends on the time of year. ths time of year (gun season) if i get one it will be about 85% venison and 15% beef. but the rest of the year it varies. wouldnt even buy beef if it were up to me. got 2 out of 4 family members who dont eat venison. pansies !
