Guest BeerSlayer1
My brother, two of my boys, and I were coming back from our south Sask. whitetail hunt last week and stopped in to have lunch and a rest at Sask. Landing. A local hunter came over to check out our deer and was telling us that someone from Swift Current shot a 240-250 non-typical mulie in Zone 9.Does anyone have any info? CLB???????? Guest CLB
Re: I heard a rumour about a big Zone 9 Mulie Darrell Stan , a conservation officer here in Swift Current, shot a big Non-typical muley in 9. It is supposed to score around 255 ( not sure if that is gross or net) . A buddy saw it and said it is big. No photos yet though. Guest BeerSlayer1
Re: I heard a rumour about a big Zone 9 Mulie Thanks for the info. Sandhills or farmland? I know you guys had tags for Zone 9, did you know about the buck when you were hunting? I had doe tags in 9 again this year and the number of deer I saw on the ranch where I hunt was absolutely crazy. There were more than I've ever seen before, including back in 89-90. Lot's of bucks, but none that I would have shot (and I'm not that fussy).
Guest CLB
Re: I heard a rumour about a big Zone 9 Mulie I am not sure where he got it. We had heard about a big non-typical north of Tomkins but were not hunting there. We were after a nice non-typ I had photographed just before archery season. I had him at 88 yards opening day but spooked him and we never saw him again the whole season. Not sure if he was shot or not. Here he is. We saw a lot of deer during muzzleloader and rifle season with a few being quite nice but being quite fussy my dad never pulled the trigger. The majority of the bucks we saw were small to medium sized though. Here are a couple photos of a couple of the better bucks we saw. Just not what we were looking for. I helped a buddy get a couple of does as well. I never filled my antlerless tags as my freezer was already full. CLB
