Guest TIGER81
I HAVE BEEN SPOTTING A VERY LARGE 150 CLASS 10 POINTER ON MY LAND FOR THE LAST SEVERAL WEEKS. I HAVE USED SEVERAL TECHNIQUES AND STAND PLACEMENTS BUT HAVE NOT SEEN HIM DURING LEGAL SHOOTING HOURS, ONLY AFTER DUSK DO I SEE HIM TRAVELING WITH A GROUP OF 5 DOES. ANYTHING I CAN DO TO ENTICE HIM TO COME OUT DURING THE DAY OR SHOULD I JUST CONTINUE TO BE PATIENT AND WAIT HIM OUT. I REALLY WANT THIS ONE, HES THE BIGGEST BUCK IVE EVER SEEN! danthehunter
Re: BIG BUCK! figure out his travel pattern and get him down in the woods before he comes out into the open at night. Goodluck
Mirage
Re: BIG BUCK! Perhaps hunt those does if he is hanging out with the does perhaps you can get lucky with him that way. Also I think that big deer of that caliper are nocturnal animals most of the time and you may just have to either bump him from his bedding area to get him up in the day or just hunt the areas you know he frequents and perhaps he will come by on his off day. A scouting camera would give you some insight to his patterns, Good luck
Leo
Re: BIG BUCK! If you are seeing him regularly just after legal shooting hours he is not bedding far from there. That is where he is spending the day. If you can figure out where he is bedding sneak in well before first light in the morning. Sometimes it's easier to catch them going to bed instead of leaving it.

6sixpoint_nobrows
Re: BIG BUCK! set your stand closer to were he is coming out and were you are seeing him, that way when he is coming he willl be in legal shooting hours...also you can try scents and things like that with him, i dont know were you live and dont know how your rut is going but if the rut is on try calling to him...or the primos cans work great through all types of the rut..best of luck with him and i hope you get him! welcome to the forums too! Hoyt03
Re: BIG BUCK! My guess is he moves after dark and returns to bed well before daylight. Only way to kill a buck like this is to get extremely lucky and hes out running a doe, or do a drive through his bedding area and get him up and running
