billygoat
Just wondering if those big boys in Iowa are still rutting, or if they are in "clean up"/post rut mode? I know the WI rut was late this year, just haven't heard much about southern IA?
rockefeller66
Re: Iowa Rut? I hunt in western IA and the bucks are still following the does closely but mostly following them to the food sources and starting to rebuild after the rut, on our land we have a low buck:doe ratio and the rut is quick but STRONG!!!!!!! Still some big boys cruising but mostly in the afternoon on the way to the food sources, also they are almost all busted up, tough to get one of our mature 4.5 yrs old or older that isn't busted up now, mostly lookign for some does this time of year
