brad dryden
I have a 30-06 thats a year old and I came back from hunting and it was cold out and I came in and decided it really needed a good cleaning so I took out the clip and sprayed inside the chamber then I heard a click so I stoped and heard somthing fall I picked the two peices up and dident know where they came from until I started swabing it and their is a plastic clipe that locks the bullit clipe in and you push it and removes the clip. So anyways is their any way to get that fixed and about how much am I looking at its a model 710.
njbowhntr
Re: 30-06 clipe thingy You could take it back to the dealer that you bought it from and they will send it to Remington to repair. Or you could go to Brownells.com to purchase the part and repair on your own. On the Brownells site they have schematics of most guns. So you can look on there to you are sure that you are ordering the correct part.

VermontHunter
Re: 30-06 clipe thingy Yikes... if the magazine release is plastic remind me to stay away from that model..... Hope you can upgrade that part to metal.....
AJ
Re: 30-06 clipe thingy If you look at your owners manual, it should be item number 16 on the schematic. That is the magazine latch. They do not list an individual part number for it. Its not listed on Brownells website either. I would get in contact with Remington since there is no Authorized Remington Repair facility near you. Their number is: 1-800-243-9700. They will direct you on the next step. The warranty is 2 years on their guns. The sender (you) pays shipping costs to Remington. snapper
Re: 30-06 clipe thingy BTW...I'm pretty sure you can send the gun directly to Remington...shouldn't have to go through an FFL holder.
AJ
Re: 30-06 clipe thingy Correct you are Snapper! Remington should give him all the info when he contacts them.
