Which Binocs??

I am searching for a pair of high quality pair of glasses. I have done some research and am still confused. I heard that Kahles and Swarvoski's are basically the same company just different name and are very good quality. I have heard that Leica is as good as it gets and that you can't beat the Gold Ring Leupold's for the price. Then today, I came across a pair on the cabelas website that caught my attention. It has a video along with it and it made me wonder about this pair of glasses. Here is the site of the Cabelas binocs http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/content/co...culars_int.html

I am leaning towards the swarvoski's but am still torn between them all. I would just like a little input from you guys and wandering if anyone has had any experience with the Cabelas pair of binocs. Thanks

Re: Which Binocs??

I have Swarvoski's and my Dad has the Leica's. Both great so it's up to how much your willing to spend. The other factor is how much open land do you have? The way I justified spending that kind of money is that I hunt huge corn and soybean fields. Sometimes over 600 yards of sight. I also have a Swarvoski scope on my rifle. Great lenses! Another tip is to check Ebay, I bought mine on ebay for about half the price of brand new.

Re: Which Binocs??

I ended up going with a pair of Bushnell Legends in the 8X32 power. After looking through these and the European TOP end models at Gander Mountain, I couldn't really see a huge difference between them for me to spend almost a $1,000.00 more on the European brands. Try out the Bushnell legends as see for yourself. That's enough savings to buy a brand new Mathew's Switchback and all the accessories that go with it!!!!!

Re: Which Binocs??

I was in the same dillema last summer when I finally realized I needed a good pair of glasses. So I did my research, and I am a college student so I had to watch my budget. I went with the NIKON ATB 10x42. They cost less than all the previous models, but they are an extremely good pair of glasses. It also depends if you are going out west. My Dad goes to Montana every year to hunt mulies and he never use glasses but this year when he went, I was in school so he used mine and he said he will never go back out there without those glasses.

Re: Which Binocs??

I was going to buy a pair of Bushnell Legends but the salesman told me to try their new Excursions out. I couldn't see any difference betyween them. Ty and I are real hard on binoculars -they never go back in the case once they're are bought-either on the truck seat or around our neck-I just can't justify the money for the real high end bino's. I've looked through them but don't see a $1,000 bucks worth of differance.

Re: Which Binocs??

This is the same dilema I've been having. I've looked at the Nikon ATB's in HD Green Camo and they are very nice. They cost $309.00 at a local pro shop. I've got a Nikon Scope on my Encore and also have a Nikon Monarch 800 rangefinder so I know about the quality of Nikon optics. This past weekend I was able to check out a pair of Swarovskis. AWESOME! But as someone else mentioned there is about a $900.00 price difference. I'm torn between getting the Nikon's for Christmas or maybe saving for the Swarovskis.
