Bow Hunter Derek
Tonight I stopped into my buddy's pro shop and what did he have? A demo 2006 Mathews Switchback XT. Well, I just had to try it out. I should have never picked it up. Wow. If you thought the original Switchback was smooth and wondered how they could improve it, guess what ... somehow they did. What an incredible shooting bow. Smooth as glass, dead quiet, and no vibration. I shot the bare XT, and compared it to the bare original S.B. Both were set up with a rest and string loop, that was it, nothing else. The XT is noticeably a smoother and quieter bow when shot side by side. The original has it beat by a few f.p.s., but what is 5 or 6 f.p.s. at these speeds? I've bucked the popular brand trends for a long time and been a die hard original Diamond guy, but I'm thinking I might just have to jump on the Mathews band wagon now. I'm thinking after season is over, the Diamonds might go up for sale and a new Switchback XT will be in my hands for my spring Texas hog hunting trip. You've got to stop and check this new bow out. One bad rig!

[/ QUOTE ] I'd never kid you of all people. This is a bad (bleep) bow. I set it side by side with the original S.B. They totally redesigned the dang thing. More parallel limbs, changed the limb pocket angle, shorter axil to axil, added more vibration dampeners, longer brace height, it just goes on and on. No way can they improve on this bow! I'm sure it will be a clunker in 2007 when those new bows come out.
Chrud
Re: Switchback XT - shot one tonight ... oh how sweet The XT looks like a totall redesigned Outback. Sure is another great offering from Mathews. I'll be sticking with my Switchback though.

There is a huge difference though when shooting next to my buddy's SB. I keep hearing the SB XT tune in my head also....guess I could keep the Legacy as a back up right???
