Guest TheDanishDanger
Hey, I'm gonna be doing a lot of beaver pond hunting, and I was just wondering what's the best time to scout to find the right pond. early morning, late morning, or before dusk. Also, and tips on hunting beaver ponds would really help.
browning_gold_12
Re: Hunting on Beaver Ponds we take alot of woodies on beaver ponds. they will be nearest the acorn trees around the pond. if there is current thru the pond such as a creek, look around the banks/dams, and see if the acorns are pooling up some where. also, they will come in on the pond and then swim upsteam into the timber up the creek. good luck, and be prepared for some IN YO FACE shots!! double_drop
Re: Hunting on Beaver Ponds Never really hunted beaver ponds we just jump shoot them up here. I have found ducks on them at all times of the day, so i would say you could scout them anytime.
RTF
Re: Hunting on Beaver Ponds Go in the evening and see what comes in. If you go in the morning you may bump them off. 99.9% of my duck hunting is on beaver ponds.
