David_218
Re: Harvest Reporting [ QUOTE ] Who here reports all legally harvested deer? If some aren't reported why? I personally report every deer harvested. Two reasons. 1) because its the law. 2) because the state DEC cannot get an accurate read of the whitetail population without it. [/ QUOTE ] Here, In Indiana as well as Kentucky ALL DEER Harvests MUST be reported to be counted as legal kills. In Indiana we still have to take our Deer over to a check station to get a metal tag, as we are issued only transporting tags. In Kentucky you must phone in and report your Deer Harvest as they have a "Telecheck" system. You are then given a number which you write down and tag the Deer with it. SaskMan
Re: Harvest Reporting We don't have to. Like Buckee said, all we might do is fill out a survey and mail it in if it is sent to us. But.....they don't even send them to all who purchase licences so harvest #'s are a bad guess at best.
