rockefeller66
Re: old horns new mount? oh ya, we quite frequently keep the capes off bucks we shoot and don't wanna mount but just to have the extra capes around

WABS
Re: old horns new mount? My Dad shot a nice 170 class mule deer buck back in the 70s and just mounted the antlers. My brother decided he wanted to do a shoulder mount so when I went out to MT this year I got a mule deer cape (from a guy in camp) to send back to my brother in IA in order to create the shoulder mount. Can't wait to see how it comes out. Helps if the cape comes from a deer of a similar size to the original.
