Guest fourtrax_300
my cousin owns alittle propety that he hunts and he has a fridns who wtolfd him about this. what they did was take a bob cat with a 4ft bucket and cleared a path through the woods . it goes froma soy bean field right past his deer stand and then just ends int he middle of the woods. they lined the edges of the path with the trees that they knocked down. now they did this a thursday morning and hunting that stand friday moring and the deer follow the trail and not only that it's just dirt, no leaves or anything and the will run down it ! just thought that it was kind of neat that they made a trail and the deer follow it right by the stand. what do you guys think about this. this same guy who came up with the idae also has some other tricks up his sleave. wtnhunt
Re: neat land management. Like to take my box blade and use it kicked to one side around my stands to clear leaves for me to walk to them more quietly. I really wouldnt want to fool around with trying to open up the primary trails the bucks are using though.
