If it has a smaller grain, it will burn faster and make for higher velocities.(I think) AJ will correct me if I'm wrong. It doesn't really matter what you use. I think it goes something like: fg = cannon powder ffg = rifle larger bore fffg = pistol, smaller bore rifle ffffg = flash pan (flintlock) The BP gurus will correct me if I am wrong.
