Tell us what you like or don’t like about the Monster Buck videos. Since we’ve begin preliminary productions on Monster Buck XIV, we would value your opinion on what would make it better and better! Do you want to see more of the archery tournament? Do you like the “competition” aspect between the hunts? What kind of hunts do you buy a DVD to see? Bowhunts? Gun hunts? Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks for your support.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

i really like the archery tournaments but I love to watch the bowhunting. Maybe have 2 discs again and have bowhunts on one and gun hunts on the others. I would also like to see what the guys are shooting type of bow broadheads or guns and ammo.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I prefer the archery hunts, but then again, I'm mostly a bow-hunter all season.

Following the deer with the camera, after the shot is important to me, because that's where my eyes want to be. It's a hunters instinct to follow the deer as long as he can after the shot and especially when you can see the deer go down, on film.

I'd like the prehunt talk about the area, etc . kinda makes you feel like your in camp with them.

I love the archery tourneys, between hunts...funnier than heck.

I'm actually pretty happy with them. I watch them to see monster bucks, not regular bucks. I see enough regular bucks around here. grin.gif If I wanted to see regular bucks shot, I'd ask you to make a series called Regular Bucks, instead of Monster Bucks. wink.gif

My biggest complaint is not being there...LOL..dang eh grin.gif

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

DONT SHOW THE SAME HUNT ALL ALLL 15 OF YOUR VIDOES.

Like Uhhh! One hunt on Monster bucks, the same hunt on roadtrips, the same hunt on monster bulls.

IT GETS OLD. I pay $15 each for these vidoes. I DONT WANT REPEATS. If i want repeats ill just watch the TV shows.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I like the bow hunts and like buckee I wanna see more of the animal not of the hunter... I mean alot of the hunter shots are out takes anyhow ... but a deer getting shot not outtake there ... lets see the action as it happens ... Repeats stink to I just fast forward through the ones I have seen most of the time... bloopers would be kinda cool to I know it happens and its realistic ... maybe a section at the end for the mess ups ... Im sure some of em are pretty funny.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

WOW !! this is a tuffy RT video's are great already....

I guess I would like to see more of what happens after the shot, as in the tracking methods from start to finish, I've seen alot of post this year on how to track a deer after it has been shot. I think this would help those of us that don't have alot of experience blood trailing... wink.gif

More of the Archery Tourney's would be great also...

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I think you should have a good mixture of both gun & bow hunts. I like the RT videos where it shows a lot of what goes on behind the scenes, not just the hunts.

As others have said, follow the animal after the shot as far as possible. Also show include the specs, so to speak, of the buck, age, weight, BC score, etc.

You could drop the bow comp. and wouldn't hurt my feelings any. grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

oh yea, I would really like to see ..................................................................

ME on them. grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I agree with others---the more bowhunts the better. Maybe an addition feature of How To's--proper calling techniques would be a great "How To" addition--maybe in the Bonus Section. Kind of like the Bonus of Bill's autobiography in last years video.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I like to watch both gun and bow hunts, but most of my videos are of bowhunts.

I also like when they explain the area they're hunting and why the put the stand where it is.Maybe show a ariel photo of the area with marked deer trails and stand locations.

While I'm placing my order,I would like to see more public land and private property hunts, not just going to an outfitter and hunting stands that are already hung.Let these boys go to an area, scout for a week or two and make their own set-up's,and hunt there.

There is my 2 cents. wink.gif

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

i would like to see what they are using....kind of like on the tv show were they what gun/bow they are using and what camo and stuff like that....just a list of equipment being used like on realtree outdoors....and i have always thought bowhunts on one video and gun hunts on another would be a good idea too

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

Personally i like a good mix of bow and rifle hunts. One thing i would like to see is a bit mroe variety. By that i mean i love seeing the big bucks the guys get at the same places you go back to year after year. I guess i just wish that each video you could include a couple hunts that the average Joe can go on and show them in more depth(not jsut the kill). I understand big bucks sell videos...and trust me i love seeing them, but a couple hunts on each video of Bill Jordan and a couple guys going on a more normal deer camp sort of hunt would be great! Show them getting there, and selecting their hunting spots, and all the work that goes into getting a deer.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

Well being a bowhunter, I like the bowhunts but the rifle hunts are fun too watch too but again, being a bowhunter, I could survive off only bowhunting. But then again if you shorten the rifle hunts, the rifle hunting community which is probably bigger than the bowhunting community, might not appreciate it. So therefore, the distribution between the two is probably good so I wouldn't change it.

HOWEVER,,,The last MB vids, I noticed an inside archery shoot. Me personally, I didn't like it. I miss the ol outdoor match in between hunts. It was more like a 3-D shoot in which most bowhunters do anyway. I miss the outdoor 3-D shoots especially the ones with T-Bone and Jeff taking on the Realtree gang.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

Ya know ever since I saw the first REALTREE Video I've been hooked. I love all of the hunts and the tournament is great. If I could see one thing change I would like to see more what is involved in prepairing for the hunt and some aspect of the need to be a full time hunter when in the woods. I say this because along with me watching the videos. My son and daughter watch and pay close attention to what happens. My daughter seems to know that there is more to the hunt than showing up and harvesting a deer. But My son( any one with teanage boys knows this) Is not as paitent and cant see why he doesn't get a buck like on REALTREE every time he is in the woods. I think that if they could see that dad is not full of soup when he tells them the need to be stealthy, observent, and hunt hard that the rewards will come. Just a thought. after all that i gotta say I cant wait for Monster Buck XIV to come out. Best Regards, Overtonjim grin.gif

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

heres another idea for a video...how about "Realtree Deer Camp 2006"...with bill, david, michael and a few others at deer camp in georgia or where ever they live or own land.....just a reality type show of them sittin around having fun hanging out and talking about where they are gunna hunt in the morning (opening day)...kind of like all of us do when we are at deer camp.....show them getting ready and and preparing their equipment....and then show them going out in the morning hunting...seeing deer...not seeing deer...just like the average hunter.

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

Have to agree with RyanH. Not good business to sell the same hunts on 2 different DVDs just to make a "filler."

I like the outdoor 3D's better, also.

One thing I personally would change, is get rid of the "fake shot". I went to a seminar John Tate did, and he told your little secret about filming the guys AFTER the sho (although I already knew the secret). I personally don't like all the fancy camera angles of the hunter shooting because in reality, he's just shooting a leaf. I like to see it real! JMO......

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I like the mix of rifle and bow hunts, with a little more archery. Nothing like a Sask or Alberta hunt to add a "fair chase" feel to the hunts...so I'd prefer less of the Texas Style hunts. David Morris is a great deer man, but watching him and wife shoot 200" deer on his ranch isn't for me as it's unrealistic for the average hunter.

Please run through the equipment used, time of year and current time/weather of the hunt.

I liked the quick run through the bow contest...that shouldn't take up much of the time. Too many contestants this past year.

I like watching Michael Waddell and David Blanton hunt...so would appreciate a couple more of them. They are the guys who got me hooked on Realtree.

Thanks for the chance at input.

Regardless, I very much look forward to the next edition.

Craig

Re: Question From Realtree Video Dept.

I really enjoy watching the monster buck videos, because it is awesome to see all those large bucks on video. I am an avid bowhunter and love being up close and personal. But I also love rifle and muzzleloader hunting. The archery tournament is always a great part of the video, don't change that, and I love watching Tbone and Willy on the videos you have to keep those two. One thing I would like to see is maybe one or two normal hunts though. We all know that all bucks are not monster bucks, so watching the guys take an animal that is of normal size would be cool also. I know the huge bucks are what helps sell your product, but 1 or 2 hunts with normal size animals with mediocre racks would be fine with me. Thanks for listening to me rant, and you all have a great holiday, and may god bless all of you.
