AJ
You may have to resight the scope if you just swap to a different bullet of the same weight. When you change something, always check it on paper before taking it in the woods.
JimT
Re: 7 Rem Mag Question What AJ said is right on. Any gun will change point of impact when you use a different cartrirdge. For instance, my .243 cannot hold a 4" group with Winchester ammo. Throw in some Remington ammo and it is down to about 1.5".
sportsman2500
Re: 7 Rem Mag Question couldn't have said it better myself!! anytime i change from one grain bullet to another i always shoot to see where i'm hitting. i just went to the winchester supreme silver tip ballistic 150 grain and i was told that if i ever switched then to shoot the gun b/c it will throw me off a good bit. so always shoot it to see where you are hitting if you change bullet grains or brands. Strut_Buster
Re: 7 Rem Mag Question Alot of tdhat roumor depends on how expensive your scope is. My uncle had a cheap-o csope on his 7mm after a few shot the scope would move no matter what. I thin khe put a Zeiz or sumthin like that on there and hasn't had any problems. AJ
Re: 7 Rem Mag Question [ QUOTE ] Alot of tdhat roumor depends on how expensive your scope is. [/ QUOTE ] The quality of the scope has nothing to do with it. Change ammo = must verify on paper
Strut_Buster
Re: 7 Rem Mag Question alright, I was talking abuot recoil not accuracy, resighting is a given. I know that some scopes handle it better than others. I think i misunderstood what he was trying to say.
