WaCoyote
Went out the 1st to start popping yotes for the contest and just saw a ton of them. But I had a TERRIBLE day. I put the sneak on one and got to about 150-200 yds. Dialed in for the shot, touched off, and he just waltzed off. Shot again, nothing. I'm used to these shots so I really couldn't believe I missed but I carried on with the hunt. Called in another and missed at about 100 yds. So I thought I'd shoot this old sun bleached sign to see whats up. I shot it at about 100 yds and MISSED. Shot at it at about 50 yds and was about 8 inches left. Here's where it gets interesting. I bought this cheapo scope at a gun show because the guy talked a good talk. I sighted in this summer and it was fine. I went shooting again back in Oct and it was off. I didn't think much about it, I just sighted in again and figured it was good to go. Obviously not. Everytime I've used this scope it's lost zero, not to mention it's just plain blurry if you dial in past about 15 power. DON'T BUY CHEAP SCOPES. It's just a waste of time and money. I wasted a whole day with perfect hunting conditions. 20 degrees, calm, 6" of snow, hungry yotes. All because I went against my better judgement and bought a piece of junk. I put one of my 3x9's back on for tomorrow hopefully I'll post something for the contest.

WaCoyote
Re: Lesson learned about cheap scopes! I really hate to post the name of the outfit. I know better though, this just confirmed it. I always buy good glass. This time though I just had an itch. Oh, well. It's one of those really low end jobbies though. REALLY LOW END! LOL! WaCoyote
Re: Lesson learned about cheap scopes! I have a bunch of bushnells and a burris. I've never had a scope lose zero. They've been dropped, froze, flooded, you name it. I'm gonna put a 4.5X14 burris on the 22-250. Love that B-Plex scope!!! Bought a 3X9 for my deer rifle. It's really great.
