Muzzleloaders.

Re: Muzzleloaders.

You are a little late. Bass Pro Shops had the Knight Disc Elite .45 caliber on sale for $200 but they are sold out. They are sweet! Oh well, they are gone.

You can still get a Disc Elite from Sportsman's Guide for $230 - $250. I would take the stainless steel gun for only $20 more.

I have one of each the .45 and the .50 caliber Disc Elites. They have both killed deer for me this year.

I look for quality things like adjustable triggers, nice fit and finish, good safe action, stock quality, and reputation.

Re: Muzzleloaders.

Yeah I've got an Ecore and I'd reccommend them highly. I got the Encore due to the overall feel of the gun and the ability to add rifle barrels later on. I have been very pleased with the Encore as it shoots very well with 777 and 250 grain shockwaves. I think the overall fit and finish on the Encore muzzle loaders are top notch. You can get syn/stainless, syn/blued, or walnut/blued. I got the all HD camo version as I love camo guns! Why don't you go to a dealer and look at/feel several different guns such as the Encore, TC Omega, and the Knights and see which one feels best to you and narrow your search from there? Hop this helps and have fun finding which one you want.
