I am planning a blck bear hunt this spring in manitoba. this will be the fifth time i have gone in about 12 years. I have one with a bow and smokepole, I killed 2 with a rifle and want to try to kill one with a handgun. I have been looking at the taurus raging bull chambered 454 casull. I am thinking of putting a reddot scope on it. if you do think this gun will be a good choice would you put 2 sets of rings on it?

I think you'll find that most red dot scopes are too short to get more than 2 rings onto them. If you can fit more than 2 go for it.

I would contact the Canadian Border Services Agency to see if you can even cross the border with a pistol let alone possess one in Canada...Here's the link:

I own a taurus raging bull in the 44 cal with a bushnell 3200 scope and like it a lot .I think you would be very happy with one.
