markyj987
Perhaps one of you electronics gurus can help me out with this. I'm pretty good with computers, but when it comes to digital video, I'm an idiot. I have a Sony Hi8 Handycam with a USB cord, so I can capture video images onto my PC. However, USB quality is terrible. I understand that firewire is really the way to go, but how can I capture from the RCA-outs that run from my camera. Is there some kind of adapter? Or will I need a different video capture card that will enable me to capture from RCA plugs? I thought about one of those TV-IN capture cards--some of those have RCA-IN's on them, but am not sure. Also, I would like something that comes with software that let's me capture good quality without eating up all of my hard drive space, as it's pretty limited. Any suggestions??
