superguide Posted December 8, 2005 Report Share Posted December 8, 2005 Was talking to the guy I used to guide for this A'M-seems a hunter shot a pretty decent buck first thing in the A'M last week-well it ran maybe 40 yards from the stand and died in the tall grass-when they went to get him at dark-the yotes,eagles and ravens had pretty much devoured it. I tell ya some guys can't handle hunting in the bush-I time a guy videoed a nice buck but didn't shoot him that day-I was watching it and I noticed bear claw marks on a tree right in front of his stand-I pinted them out and he just about wouldn't go back and hunt there. Lucky he did cause that buck measured was a 170-5x5. Our hunters are told not to leave and go tracking a buck if they wound it-we'd never be able to find half of them if they did lol.
